IPPGROUP CHALLENGE VIETNAM

The 3rd edition of Challenge Vietnam once again will be held in the Beach Heaven of Vietnam – Nha Trang City in September, 2020. Offering a spectacular background for a triathlon, extra race activities, and plenty of places to discover, it has became the perfect opportunity to combine racing with vacation. The event, which is part of the Challenge Family triathlon series, consists of a 1.9 km swim, 90km bike and 21km run. Challenge Vietnam received tremendous positive feedback after both editions, and it was dubbed the “Best Inaugural Long Distance Triathlon in Asia” in 2016 and “Best Overall Race in Asia” by AsiaTri in 2019.

Challenge Vietnam offers it all: the exotic holiday destination, challenging course, great organization and plenty of fun pre- and post-race activities. The hosting city of Nha Trang is considered the “Riviera of Vietnam”, and is only a quick flight away from all major airports in Vietnam.

The swim session is a beginner-friendly swim; the cut-off time is 70 minutes, lane ropes connect all buoys making it easier to swim straight. The organizers also have jetskis and lifeguards stationed around the course in case of emergency.

The run course is highly dynamic with a steady mix of short hills, flat sections, and even into a city roundabout.  A high-performing athlete may be able to spend the entire time on the big chain ring, while beginners may be better by shifting to a lighter gear and spin their way up during the cycling section.

The run course at Challenge Vietnam is mostly flat apart from a couple of short and easy hills (one being a bridge)
